We are honored to introduce the Gallagher-Clewes Memorial Scholarship created to celebrate the lives and lasting influence of former nextSource executives, Jim Gallagher and Kristin Clewes. Their leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication to people helped shape who we are as an organization. Both were strong advocates for our Associates and for building a workplace rooted in respect, support, and shared success. This scholarship stands as a living tribute to the values they exemplified and the impact they made across the nextSource community.

Jim Gallagher was a rare leader who combined humor, kindness, and unwavering support for his team. He believed in collaboration and treated everyone with respect. He was a mentor who encouraged growth, pushed people to take risks, and instilled confidence, leaving a lasting impact on individuals and nextSource as an organization.

Kristin Clewes was known for her kindness, dedication, and the way she made people feel valued. She led with integrity, faced challenges with confidence, and always supported those around her. Her legacy of compassion, hard work, and belief in others continues to inspire.

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is awarded to individuals who are working to advance their careers and make a meaningful contribution to their community or chosen field. It recognizes not only capability, but also character, purpose, and a commitment to growth. The Gallagher-Clewes Memorial Scholarship recognizes individuals who demonstrate:

  • A financial award that to be used for tuition, certifications, technology needs, or qualifying educational expenses.
  • Opportunities for mentorship, internships, and access to members of nextSource’s extended professional network.
  • Support in entering environments that foster personal and professional growth.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible individuals must be actively engaged on an assignment for a minimum of three months with a current nextSource Client or Supplier Partner, as determined at nextSource’s sole discretion, and must remain on an active assignment at both the time of nomination and the time the award is granted, or be employed as a nextSource Associate during those same periods.
  • A letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment in a career-enhancing program at an accredited institution in the U.S.
  • Submission of an original nomination and two additional written business references that demonstrate the desired attributes.
  • Comply with Terms & Rules.

Application Process

Nomination

The nominator reviews the scholarship guidelines and contacts the applicant they wish to nominate. The applicant is responsible for confirming eligibility and completing the online application form. Which includes:

  • The nominator reference section
  • A personal statement describing their career goals and alignment with scholarship values
  • Program or institution information
  • Two written business references from non-related individuals

Interview

Selected finalists will meet with the selection committee for a brief, structured interview where they will discuss their educational goals, career aspirations, and how they embody the values of the scholarship, allowing the board to gain a deeper understanding of their character, motivation, and potential impact.

Funding!

nextSource will contribute $10,000 annually
