What nextSource Gives Thanks For
At this time of the year, as we pause to reflect on the many blessings for which we have reason to give thanks, the entire staff and management of nextSource would like to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving. Here are some of the many things we are thankful for this year.
First and foremost, we’re thankful for the sacrifices made and dedication exhibited by American service men and women. Their efforts at protecting our way of life and our freedoms around the globe are to be cherished by everyone as we celebrate our Thanksgiving Day. We’re also grateful for the mandates our government has put in place to ensure returning veterans are met with strong employment options. We will continue to work toward ensuring this happens at the highest level.
We’re thankful again this year for the amazing technologies that continue to transform the way we practice nextSourcing and Workforce Management in general. From the now-veteran VMS tools that put processes and drive visibility around all workforce planning activities to the Cloud which makes it accessible from virtually anywhere. We’re grateful for the mobile technologies and the social platforms that have unleashed a whole new world for candidate sourcing and communications with pools of talent across the globe. Without these amazing advancements, HR and Procurement would have never been able to transition from tactical functions to full-fledged strategic business partners within the corporate structures in which they operate.
Along with the innovation wrought by technological advancement comes the entry of the Millennial generation of young professionals in the services supply chain and related fields into the workforce. We’re thankful for the vigor and energy this wave of new guard professionals is infusing into this field. Their embrace and understanding of the power of the technologies we noted in the last paragraph are helping to propel our industry into the future and to keep our function relevant.
We’d like to give thanks for the Small and Mid-Sized Businesses (SMBs) that, enabled by the lower barrier to entry delivered by cloud solutions, are increasingly able to leverage the critical workforce management strategies once dominated by only the largest concerns. The entry of SMBs into the marketplace for contingent and contract talent is another reason why these newer classifications are proliferating and reconfiguring the very face and composition of the modern global workforce.
Lastly, we’d like to give full-throated and hearty thanks to all our partners, from staffing suppliers to technology providers, to our growing list of valued customers. We are so grateful to be able to work with you and for you. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
